MissionWhen I was a young boy of twelve years age, I began to feel a strong call, perhaps a sense of destiny, to go out and make a difference. I was a ‘nobody’ in a large school, and perhaps in that invisibility, surrounded by many people but with few close friends, I was struggling for some sense of purpose. I wanted to make an impact. Life had to be more than simply growing up, making money, raising a family, and dying. I wanted to do something that mattered.

Perhaps you’ve felt the same tug at your heart, a challenge to get out there and do something that matters, something enduring, something that will live beyond you. I heard this action expressed once as “getting outside yourself,” literally doing something that doesn’t benefit you so much as it helps others. That’s what Mission is all about.

Would you like to make a difference? In this section you can learn more about places to engage in your community and invest yourself in the kingdom. You can also learn what I speak about to audiences about with regards to mission… mission in your writing, crisis pregnancy, understanding God’s will in your life, and other topics. Whatever you do, don’t surf through these pages and leave unchallenged. I urge you all to find someone in your community who needs your help. Reach out to the underprivileged, the invisible, the hurting, and the sick people who are under your nose every day. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Be on mission in your own home town. Get involved. Make a difference.

Get outside yourself and make life matter.
