About the Author A Navy pilot and spacecraft engineer, Austin Boyd flew three thousand hours in war and peacetime operations, designed satellites, and built classified systems to track terrorists. As a world traveler, astronaut candidate finalist, and inventor with multiple patents, Austin served in key military space assignments before retiring to Huntsville, Alabama, with his wife, Cindy, and their four children. He is active in a variety of Christian ministries devoted to crisis pregnancy, evangelism, and the homeless. Austin speaks around the nation at banquets and churches on topics related to his pro-life and relational evangelism ministries, and to writers' conferences, author groups and publishers about his marketing concepts.

In addition to the Mars Hill Classified space suspense trilogy, Austin is an award-winning author who writes extensively about faith issues related to technology and business. He has published award winning poetry, including an anthology in 1978 and more than two dozen technical non-fiction articles and papers during his Navy career. He was recently recognized as one of three finalists for the Christy Gold Medal for Fiction (Sequel). He was also honored with the 2007 "Pacesetter Award" by the Mount Hermon Christian Writer's Conference for his fiction work in the genre of space suspense and for his marketing advances within the Christian publishing market. Austin writes for the B&H Publishing Group (formerly Broadman and Holman) of Nashville, TN, and NavPress, the publishing arm of the Navigators in Colorado Springs, CO.
